Painter Carolyn Lord’s career as an exhibiting artist is well defined by her unique watercolor paintings of architecture, trees, and flowers, but her figurative work is equally exciting. Lord attended Principia College in Illinois, 1974-8. During and after college she studied with Millard Sheets, Rex Brandt, George Post, Milford Zornes, and Robert E. Wood, absorbing what they had to offer, and redefining it to fit her own purposes. Lord lives in Livermore and teaches academic drawing workshops at the Figurehead Gallery.
